Hi - not sure if anyone can help, but I'm having a real problem loading up patches saved away from the previous version into the latest update. (Running 32 Bit on Windows XP).
This is how I've got to this state...
When I first started working with Synthmaster, edited sounds I saved away using "save as" to a folder I called "My Sounds" didn't show as I wanted in the browser, as they would display under the original authors tab. So, I saved sounds away after changing the author field to MySounds to allow me to easily select all my edited presets.
Note that I didn't same them away to the folder generated by Synthmaster in my name, as I can't seem to enter spaces into the author field. (Sounds created using the "New" command are saved in my named folder)
Before I installed the latest update, I dragged the "Mysounds" folder out of the presets folder with all my edited voices in, as I planned to do a fresh install along with some of the Nori Ubukata banks. So, I did a fresh install (V2.5.4.149) and dragged back my bank of edited presets.
When running Synthmaster, they show up correctly in the Mysounds folder under the authors tab, but each preset sounds like an initialised voice with a raw sawtooth. As I select each preset in the browser, the matrix settings on the right and the controller settings at the bottom change for each preset as expected..., but when displaying the synth parameters, the OSC and filter settings stay the same as I scroll through the presets.
Really not sure what is going on here - I've tried deleting the XML preset list so it re-generates on startup, but that hasn't helped either. Each patch loads up as an initialised tone, but the attributes and matrix routings seem intact for all of them.
I've noticed that now, if I erase the author field after editing a sound, Synthmaster saves patches away in my named folder (complete with space between names) and lists me as the author. I'm fine with this way of working - but I still can't get my old patches to load correctly!
Any help appreciated - thanks
