On Windows, MuLab uses ASIO and MME to connect to your sound device.

WASAPI support would be great. I get better performance with it than with ASIO4ALL when using onboard soundcard on my laptop (in Reaper).

What is WASAPI, the same as Core Audio for the Mac ?

If you have a PC with recent Windows OS (Vista, W7 or W8), the internal audio device is automatically accessible via WASAPI if the audio application support it ?

If it's the case, it must be supported, what is the problem with WASAPI Jo (apart the time to R&D and implement it) ?

Post

I can't answer the question. I regard this as a feature request.

Well, Asio is working fine on my 2 computers, so it's not a problem. But if Microsoft have made an effort to have good audio on Windows, maybe it's good to support it...

Yep. Which makes it essential to implement, IMHO.

if it's anything like other microsoft software it'll play up or crash or constantly require updates to fix what's wrong with it and you'll be better off with reliable old music industry standard asio drivers i reckon!

Definitely better-more stable than original M-Audio drivers (Fast Track Pro/W7-64) :P

If you don't know what you're talking about, shut up. WASAPI is rock solid, as is W7.

windows 7 aint rock solid;it crashed on me with the blue screen of death only yesterday! it's got lan issues and loads of other stuff that they've had 20 years to get right. owned a mac for 3 years and i only ever did productive work on it rather than waiting for it to fix itself like i always am in windows. just my own personal experience

W7 rock solid over here for 2 years, since the initial install. No problems with LAN or wireless either. Everything just works. Dunno what's happening with yours (probably some driver messing you up), but I never had any W7 problems on my Toshiba laptop. Much, MUCH better OS than XP ever was.
