I'm not able to use *.scl files with SynthMaster

I copied 3,304 *.SCL files (scala tuning) from my Rapture tunings folder into the scales folder for SynthMaster. As a result, I was not able to use SynthMaster in Sonar X2 -- every time I tried to load it, Sonar crashed. I removed all the tuning files from the scales folder, except for the one that was there originally (EqualTempered.scl), and Synthmaster worked fine.
I'd like to use micro-tuning. Does this feature work?

Yes it works. Probably SynthMaster could not parse some of those 3304! files.
If you sent them to me, I'll debug and fix the parse error.

What email address should I send them to?

hi there, i put some different tunings in the scale folder, they all work, but they don't change with the preset
once i've changed it, that's it, it stays the same for all presets.
is that how the tunings work or should i be able to have whichever tuning i choose saved in each preset?

Are you changing the tuning from the "Settings" tab? That changes the tuning globally.emef wrote:hi there, i put some different tunings in the scale folder, they all work, but they don't change with the preset

Ok looks like one of those files had 441 different notes in the scale definition. Limiting that to 128 fixed the crash. Now let's continue fixing other issues!mleghorn wrote:I copied 3,304 *.SCL files (scala tuning) from my Rapture tunings folder into the scales folder for SynthMaster. I don't need 441 notes in a scale
Thanks for the quick response!

Why isn't it possible simply to load a scala file from a different folder? This would be easier than copying more than 2500 scala files to the scale folder...

This is called a "feature request". well, why not ?Tricky-Loops wrote:Why isn't it possible simply to load a scala file from a different folder? This would be easier than copying more than 2500 scala files to the scale folder...
Scales Folder=Default
If the setting is NOT Default, then it's a path the user has set. This way we can load tunes in a different folder.
Ok will add that next week. I am planing to release SynthMaster 2.6 with CM/BE skins/presets and new Rob Lee presets.

Isn't it possible to add a button "Load microtune" to SynthMaster to load only ONE scala file from a different folder? That would be great - by simply clicking on a button and then loading ONE scala file without need to change the config file...kv331 wrote:This is called a "feature request". well, why not ?Tricky-Loops wrote:Why isn't it possible simply to load a scala file from a different folder? I remember that my first idea after buying SynthMaster was to copying all available 2500 Scala files to the scale folder, and as soon as I loaded SynthMaster, the whole plugin including my DAW crashed...
