So can't you just send new activation link to that email? if someone wanted to register using my mail - he wouldnt be able to activate it anyway, and I wouldnt have to register another one.Jakob / Cableguys wrote:You only need to register for the syncing of presets; if you decide to not use the online feature, you do not need to register.Numanoid wrote:Yeah, that's not good.gamecat666 wrote:oops, grammar fail. something to do with having to register it with an email address meant that if you tried the same email address on a 2nd install led to it failing as the email was already in use. pretty strict for a freebie. :/
They must have had some teething problems when launching it, which they ironed out later.
I can't remember that I had to authorize Curve CM in anyway when I installed it. But I got it from a DVD of a later issue, than it first appeared.
If you use Curve 2 CM on a second computer and want to use the online syncing of presets on both systems, then you need a second email address. The reason is that otherwise someone else could register with your email address, change your ratings, upload sounds in your name, change your profile.. if we had a solution for this we'd of course allow to register with the same email address on multiple computers.. proposes welcome! (Note: There's the same restriction in the demo version of Curve 2 for the same reason - but it works fine if you own a license, as this registers you as a user and can be used on different systems.)

Curve 2 CM is used much more often than Curve CM version 1, so this got more of an issue now; we'll rethink the way we unlock syncing, so you can unlock with the same email address multiple times. I've scheduled a task for this and hope we'll work on it soon!Tehnik wrote:Ah, i see:

If you buy Curve 2 later on with the same email address, you'll get all your ratings and the same author profile that you've done with Curve 2 CM as soon as you hit "sync". Curve 2 will get an update next week to also contain all sounds from Curve 2 CM (wanted to do this before but had to delay it due to PanCake 2).

I'm using Windows XP SP3 fully updated. The crashing occured using one instance of Curve2CM. It also crashed while using one instance of Curve2CM along with a stereo audio track.Michael / Cableguys wrote:Thanks - glad to hear that you like Curve2CM.DJ_Bach wrote:Curve2CM is awesome. Hope this can be fixed before the next Curve2CM release
I also hope we can fix this as soon as possible. Can you write us on what system you are working ? And do you use other plugins simultaneously or does it also crash even if you work only with Curve2CM?

Time to think about upgrading to a later Windows version maybe?DJ_Bach wrote:I'm using Windows XP SP3 fully updated. The crashing occured using one instance of Curve2CM. It also crashed while using one instance of Curve2CM along with a stereo audio track.
You got little more than one year left until MicroSoft pulls the support for XP:
Important notice for users of Windows XP with Service Pack 3 (SP3): The support for this product ends April 8, 2014

Please ignore this post. The problem relates to SynthMasterCM and not Curve2CM. Sorry about that.DJ_Bach wrote:Curve2CM is awesome. However, the 32 bit version sometimes crashes Ableton Live 8.3. Have those presets been added?Jakob / Cableguys wrote:Yes, I hoped we shaped a great consistent product. Christmas was Library-fine-tuning time here. Yes, they are part of Curve 2 CM. They have not been added to Curve 2 yet, though. This requires a Curve 2 update, and I am very sorry that this is delayed and not online yet! Will keep you updated when it is online.cyphersuit wrote:Have those presets been added?Jakob / Cableguys wrote:Yes, I hoped we shaped a great consistent product. All presets from Curve 2 CM are now also part of Curve 2 - you need to update to the latest Curve 2.0.5 to get hold of them.
Whenever a new preset is uploaded for Curve 1, Curve 1 CM or Curve 2 CM, it will appear in Curve 2.0.5 too.

I'm sorry to say, but hanging notes issue is not resolved.Michael / Cableguys wrote:Good News!
We could identify the problem with the hanging notes. It occurs if you change from mono to legato mode while playing at least two notes simultaneously.
A fix is already on the way and will be available for download at the beginning of next week. Thanks to everyone for reporting this bug!
Midi Panic message still doesn't help.

I am sorry to hear that. Are you using version 2.0.5? And can you identify a pattern, for example "only happens with legato patches, and only when changing notes while playing"? You're using Cubase 5, right?zyguli wrote:I'm sorry to say, but hanging notes issue is not resolved.

Yes. My version is 2.0.5 and I use Cubase 5. I'm trying to nail down the circumstances in which the problem occurs. So far It looks like it happens only when midi is being played back. I tried playing quite franticly on my keyboard for some time with the midi clip muted, and the error didn't happen once so far. Question is, is it enough that a midi is being played back, or does take midi playback and simultaneous keyboard playing for error to occur. I'll try to look into it further. So far I noted this bug happening with non polyphonic patches.
Edit: It happens even when midi is only being played back.

So as soon the playback is on, the issue occurs?. Maybe you could send us your project file for Cubase, so we can take a close look which settings and circumstances lead to the hanging notes? That would help us a lot to identify the problem.
Thanks!

We need your help!
Some users have reported us problems with hanging notes, especially in Cubase. Even though we've tried hard to recreate this issue, we've had no success so far. Everything works fine on our systems - usually that is great of course but it doesn't help us in this case.
So we would like to ask, if someone has experienced a problem with hanging notes while using Curve2 CM or Curve 2 (demo or full version) and is able to recreate that issue.
Any help to solve this problem will be appreciated and rewarded! Thank you!

Bump! We still cannot reproduce the hanging notes that had been reported. Well, we might be lucky and it had been a false alarm, but if anyone gets hanging notes in the latest version of Curve (2.0.5), please let us know!Michael / Cableguys wrote:We need your help!

We'll hand out a Curve 2 license (or pay back a purchase) to the first person who posts here and sends us a file (via PM or contact@cableguys.de) with hanging notes in Curve 2.0.5 (Cubase, and FruityLoops had been named, but any host and OS will do), or tells us which steps to take to get these hanging notes. Thanks!
