I know that Sonicprojects have the OP-X vst, but can the Oberheim Sound be created in Zebra.

It isn't specificallly modelled after any Oberheim, but Zebra's "LP 12dB" bears a similar structure as the OB-X and SEM-based synths.
Diva and thus ZebraHZ however have the Multimode Filter which is nearly indistinguishable from an OB-X/ SEM filter in its 12dB setting, soundwise. Something a little closer is coming soon.
As for VCOs, you might want to have them a little less brilliant up to the OB-X, and you might want to boost the treble a bit since OB-Xa till today's new SEM.

Forgot to note, but of cousre, unlike the OP-X, we do not offer any matched parameter ranges. Specifically, our modulation ranges are typically much higher than those of any vintage analogue synth.
So you can't knob-by-knob copy presets from patch sheets, but I do believe you can come reasonably close to most sounds.

I own Arturia Oberheim SEM-V, yet someone posted a "Jump" (Van Halen) patch for Zebra (that I later tweaked to my liking) that sounds closer to 'Jump" than anything I've heard on the SEM-V.

They must have modelled the coke residue in the nose filtersaaron aardvark wrote:I own Arturia Oberheim SEM-V, yet someone posted a "Jump" (Van Halen) patch for Zebra (that I later tweaked to my liking) that sounds closer to 'Jump" than anything I've heard on the SEM-V.

Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

deastman,
Check out this thread:

There is the original patch from someone else there, then you'll have to manually tweak that patch with my settings that I typed out.

A Big Thank You for all your replys and links, I think Zebra is one of the best soft synths out there, and whatever tweaking I do, something new is born, the capabilities of anyone's imagination is endless with this synth.
That's very interesting Urs about Diva and ZebraHZ and how the Multimode Filter is nearly indistinguishable from an OB-X/ SEM filter in its 12dB setting.I like the link GruvSyco for your Little Phatty Oscillator Sweep, and aaron aardvark for your link to Jump, nice preset.
I grew up listening to a lot of synth bands in the 80's and that was my inspiration into synthesizers, I've always enjoyed listening to Nick Rhodes or Jean Michel Jarre, talking about the creativity that you get with synths, Jordan Rudess is another great keyboard player.
I remember once reading that Prince used the Oberheim, so that would be interesting to re-create any of his sounds.
