I have to ask "which VST host?", each host has its own behavior so in some hosts this does not work properly.
Also, to make it work in most hosts, you need to click on the plugin window to set the "focus" to that window.

Ah sorry I misunderstood. Some users asked to turn off autoscroll, so we enable/disable that through a setting in the config file located at:kd8t23 wrote:How to reproduce:

<sm install folder\Config\SynthMasterConfig.txt
Find the line:
Listbox Autoscroll=no
change no to yes and save!
and restart your DAW!

That's really odd. If you have the LATEST version it should be there.

thank you in advance!
UPDATE: i solved it. when SM is installed the config file ends with the line "thank you for using demo" etc. after using the instrument SM writes another few lines to the regfile (also the one i missed). it happend seems i hadn't admin rights, my fault. sorry for that!

Before starting Ableton, I changed the synthmasterconfig.txt file to say "Listbox Autoscroll=Yes" and "Arp Lock To Beat=Yes", then I clicked on File, Save a Version and closed Text Edit. I then started Ableton, opened my recent live set and pulled up SM, but the up/down arrows still don't scroll the browser. They do nothing.kv331 wrote:That's really odd. I go back to the config file and see autoscroll still shows yes, although arp lock to beat says no now? Why can't I use the arrows on my macbook pro to scroll the presets? Can it only be done with a midi controller and not the macbook itself?
Thanks-
Miles

It should be by default.
Actually it should be the only way if you ask me.
What is the reasoning of having a disabled preset scrolling list?
