With each update to the OS there have been improvements to the GUI blinking problem. It runs best on the most current OS on the VIP. This is also possibly a byproduct that happens on a system that dedicates almost all of power of the machine to audio. Omnisphere was developed for systems that dedicate most of its processes to graphical usage. This may be the real root of where the problem resides.

That was August 2011. Is it going to be ready soon?Kevin@MuseResearch wrote: All updates for Omnisphere have to be configured, vetted, packaged and distributed by us, so the update option in the Omnisphere GUI will not work. That's the same reason the 1.5.6 update is not available for Receptors right now.

There's a mistake on the Plugarama Omnisphere page. The path they give to install the samples is wrong. The
website says: "Hard Drive/Users/All Users/Application Data/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere" where it should be: "Receptor HD/Users/All Users/Application Data/Spectrasonics/STEAM/Omnisphere/Soundsources."

It's been well over a year ~ When can we see a fix on the Omnisphere GUI?gary@museresearch wrote:With each update to the OS there have been improvements to the GUI blinking problem. Well, I know you've at least seen this thread:

Bryan replies there. In short: ain't gonna happen. There are workarounds which, if you use your Receptor for playing and not so much for programming, are certainly fine.
I'm not using a VIP (still on OS1.9), so if the situation has changed on the new OS, great.

They're talking about the graphics problems, which are annoying, but not dealbreaking.
In order to get a working 1.5.5 install, I ended up copying my Mac install's STEAM folder over to the Receptor.
