Preset Browser

Greetings,
I can't seem to get the up/down arrow keys to work in the preset browser. I've made sure to select the plugin window but the arrow keys still don't scroll through the list of presets. The manual says that this is possible so I'm not sure what is wrong.
I'm using the VST version of Synthmaster 2.5.4.143 in Ableton Live 8.3.4 on Mac OS 10.7.5. Any help appreciated.

Best,
It's probably your VST host that's blocking the up/down keys.

I can use the up/down arrows to scroll through presets in Omnisphere and Predators browsers in Ableton Live. In Omnisphere it works by default but in Predator there was an option I had to turn on to use the keyboard arrows. So for some plugins Ableton Live sends the keyboard messages through.kv331 wrote:Hi there, scanonie wrote:Greetings,

Why is it that I can use the up/down arrows on my computer keyboard to scroll through presets in other VST plugins in Ableton Live? How are the other software companies able to get around the host blocking the keys? For example in Diva, Zebra, Sylenth, Massive, FM8, Omnisphere, etc... I can use the up/down keys to scroll through presets. Sure it's not a big deal to use the mouse to scroll but I'm curious why this workflow doesn't work in Synthmaster.

Similar Problem here (Version 2.5.4.146).
Using Up/Down keys (e.g. in Cubase or Reaper) to scroll the presets in the preset browser works, but if the upper or lower end of the viewable list is reached, the list don't scrolls further, even the preset changes to the next one while scrolling.

Could you please open the config file SynthMasterConfig.txt ?
It's under the <sm installation folder>\Config
Change to the
Listbox autoscroll=no
to
Listbox autoscroll=yes
and restart the DAW
