Hey guys,

I've used MUTOOLS on two different computers now, and am getting the same problem. When it is open, I get random, loud, uniform waves of static. Usually about every 30 seconds or so when I'm using the program actively and less so when it's open but I'm doing something else. Here is a demo of something I'm working on with examples of the static at about :30, 1:00, and 1:30. Any help would be appreciated.

this is the demo noise that lets you know youre exceeding the demo limitations.

wasnt there an explanation right next to the demo download?

I also get this signal fade with static noise in Mulab5 and I understand why from reading the docs, BUT...

I haven't exceeded the free version stipulations.

* The demo tracks do not activate this warning
* I have only one session started in Mulab which contains 2 x wav files for either/or selection (backing replay tracks), and
* a track for live use Lead Guitar I use to play with the backing track selected.
This Lead track has max. 4 VST effects only in use.
* I don't use midi
* I use a stereo in and a monitor stereo out.
* Less than 4 tracks used in this composition.

What's the problem?

I used 2 earlier Mulab versions - neither of which produced this annoying and useless interference, so why in version5?

Can version5 be used without this noise/signal fade?

Cheers :help:

how many vst plugins do you have registered?

you could always purchase it. just a suggestion. if youre still having troubles, jo will be glad to point out where youre exceeding limits.

curious, everybody in this thread has joined kvr yesterday except me :hihi:

I have about 15 VST Plugins sitting in a folder within my Program Files folder not being used, but I only have 4 loaded into the one session of Mulab. They are all switched "On" and are used all at the same time as an effects chain for my live lead guitar track

Post

In addition, my session has 2x wav replay only tracks - only one is "on" at a time - and I have 3 x rack windows open, all live. Two are for the 2 wav tracks and one for the effects and all 3 route to Master rack then out to monitor.

If you hear the demo noise it means you've crossed at least one of the limits of MuLab Free/XT. It's all explained in detail on http://www.mutools.com/info/docs/mulab/ ... sions.html

If you want to have more MuLab power please purchase a MuLab XT or MuLab UL User Key via http://www.mutools.com/shop.html

Many thanks, guys for the really great help you have offered to several of us who have a genuine gripe about the infernal sound glitch which truly spoils what seems to be a good audio program. I have not exceeded any of the stipulated areas for the free version according to the supplied documentation.

I take offence at being told to buy one of the other bloody versions if I want it to operate properly - so much for trialling the free version. This noise problem did not affect earlier versions of Mulab.

I have now deleted Mulab5 from my computer - I will instead use another program that does not glitch for petty reasons...

Cheers :x

Jo,

If I remember correctly, the limit is linked to the number of vsts loaded in the vst manager rather than the number being used in a composition. If my recollection is correct, then this is what is causing the confusion here.

Sorry i tried to help.

I'm sorry but i have no indication at all that there would be a bug in the demo noise system. It's working stable for a longer time already. IF the demo noise is coming then it means that one of the documented limits has been crossed. Feel free to email me the .Musession if you can't find the crossed limit yourself.

That was in earlier versions. Since MuLab 4.x (don't remember the exact version) the VST limit is put at the number of VSTs in the session.

youre nothing but a spammer who joined the same day with your buddy to make mulab look bad. if your irrationality is any indication of your normal temperament, im personally glad to have told you to go buy this inexpensive program as a solution to your shortcomings lol! why do other no0bies have success with the demo and you dont? what are YOU doing wrong? oh well if you dont come back i wont miss ya hahaha

C'mon DIGIT play nice. If they don't like Mulab then they don't need to use it. Simple as that. I think he'll be back though. All the other free DAWs I've tried have either far more limitations, or are so buggy I can't add a VST.
