I just started using mulab and I am very verynew so I will keep my questions to a minimum.

First,
I want to create trance, techno ,EDM and hardstyle. Can this be done with Mulab UL I cant find any videos or talk about it I would like to get some ideas how to create it Im not a professional just want to do it for myself and friends.
2nd, I have tried to download VST for synths etc and it wont read them I am using a mac and the ones that were read by Mulab always say deactivated. maybe someone can tell me which vsts(synths and plugins that will work with Mulab.

Thanks to all answers.

Cheers,
Gary

You can use just about any music software to create any of those styles. MuLab is no exception. It's all in how you use it. Your technique will develop over time and with use. Tricks used in your style of choice can be replicated using an appropriate vst or built using modules in MUX. I know several here make trancy sounding music, and some do techno styled beats. Some make orchestral style, while others make jazzy or folky stuff. A new project is like a blank canvas, it only needs your ideas and expertise and perseverance. Knowledge comes a little at a time, most users here have been at it for a long time. Just try to emulate what you hear and you'll eventually grow into your own niche within a style.

Good luck!

EDM is actually very easy in Mulab. Takes some practice but after a couple months of playing around you can have a hardstyle melody built within 5 minutes

Mulab supports every VST synth I have used. Personally I recommend you get Synthmaster 2.5 It's a very high quality semi-modular synth. However Mulab should host any VST that follows Stienbergs standards. What VSTs won't it load?

Having not used a Mac, I'm unsure, but, are VST's compatible or does Mac require different format? AU for example?

MuLab will load Mac VSTs on a Mac. It won't, of course, load PC VSTs on a Mac.

Just about every major plugin developer on the Mac offers their stuff in AU and VST so that's not a problem there... you do have to "buy" them of course. Not sure what you mean by "deactivated" but if you're using demos or maybe torrent stuff by chance... then you're on your own. MuLab of course, works with pretty much everything on my Mac.

Everyone I have tried so far it wont come in to mulab I even have a separate file for vst and when I use the vat manager they always say disabled.

What is the spec of your Mac - which machine and OS?

Could you give the download link to one VST you have tried on your Mac so someone can confirm it's likely to work?

Don't suppose it's another 32/64bit mismatch issue?
