There's a discussion going on in the ValhallaDSP forum right now, Sean is fishing for ideas for a Pitch shifter plug in. I looked at some of the suggestions and wanting to try out some of the ideas I set up 4 Uhbik G in Pitch shifter modus (high quality). I setup up 4 dual Lfo's in Numerology to modulate the pitch transpose slightly off pitch on all four instances but with varying modulation speeds. which sounds slightly sick, and the mix between the 4 different instances. Played around with it. Thinking hey this is pretty good quality and pretty fun.
You can hear the pure un pitched sound which comes slightly before the pitched sounds.
I could not resist so I further inserted an instance of Uhbik S on one of the pitch shifted channels. I also added reverb to the dry signal but not the pitchshifted signals..
I fooled around the Scale control on one of the instances..
I'm playing a single instance of ACE with a slightly tweaked version of Howards Scarr's preset Novacore.
There's a little distortion here and there as my levels weren't pristinely set. I used the ArtsAcoustic Compressor very extremely to tame all my volume modulations somewhat, this may account for the slightly dull sound overall, I'm pretty sure it isn't because of the Uhbik's..OR ACE

Another experiment using Uhbik Gx4 This time I've added another 2 lfo's to modulate 2 pitch modulation Lfos' speed parameter in Numerology Pro 3 I've also experimented with a variaty of pitch ranges on the keyboard as well as changed the hosts tempo from as low as 22 bpm to up to 150 bpm as a way of globally changing the rate of all modulations at the same time.
ACE played momophonically Howard Scarr Lead Fuzzy Bare
All alarm alert so long and so loud that we forget what we were on the alarm about and just listen to the sounds hypnotic rise and fall as we slowly go into the zone.

Thanks! Ya the pitchshifter in Uhbik G used 4 in parallel in high quality modus opens up some whole new sonic harmonic worlds that in combination with some Lfo's in a host like Numerology.

Almost nailed in on the Strings-on-VHS sounds … painfully drifting, beautiful.

That's interesting a memory of old unreliable tools that made beautiful mayhem..Canteruh wrote:Almost nailed in on the Strings-on-VHS sounds … painfully drifting, beautiful.
Thanks for the compliment!

New example still using about the same setup but I also added MFM 2 using a Simon Stockhausen preset from his Twista Bank called Crossfaded delays. I made rough jumps from various presets from the Howard Scarr Bank ACE one point one. I started and stopped the transport on numerology to disable my Lfo modulations and well as made hard jumps in tempo from 45 bpm to up to 270 bpm I hard edited with no crossfades the various sections down.
So try a listen to this Uhbik G Ace and MFM 2 mayhem if you dare.
