I have a request for the MAutoDynamicEq - Internal side-chaining, so one can control the dynamic processing at one band [say 7 kHz] by the dynamic input from another band [say 700 Hz], from the same source. Any chance this could be implemented in this top dynamic EQ..? :?:

[...and if it's already there - please point to it and help me using it ]

Hi Mads, I'm not really sure if I understand, but in my opinion you just need to use Band settings / Advanced / Band-pass.

Just tried it Vojtech - yes it's the right direction, have to experiment with it.

Please consider simpler controls like bandpass frequency,Q and volume or even a frequency graph. You know things that would make it easier to dial in

Well, I wouldn't be against the graph, but quite frankly it's quite a lot of work and most people don't even know it's there, it's a really advanced feature. After all, even you didn't know about it ;).
And when it comes to the parameters - actually this way it is more versatile. It's a combined bandpass using LP & HP, which is always more versatile than a simple bandpass.

I understand your reasoning, but even if it's true that it's more versatile, it's also a little difficult to predict what curve one dials in.

Let me just say this: I really like the internal side-chain feature and hope you will consider if there are ways to make it easier to work with, without causing to much extra work on your side [usually this is a kind of challenge that you are good at solving :D] An advanced feature for an advanced, yet easy to use EQ - Wow

But Mads I don't understand - all you want is just to have on band pass center frequency, instead of HP/LP (thus 2 frequencies limiting the interval). What is the problem with that???

Well Vojtech - I would love to adjust the center frequency of the filter the same way [and using the same filters] as is in the EQ already.

Just thinking loud, would it be possible to use the main EQ window, and adjust the internal side-chain filter from there. I know this would demand a certain color code, visual "string" or something else, to indicate what band it was attached to - but do you get the idea..?

Maybe it's just too hard to do, but it would be wonderful and unique.

Well, I'll think about it, not that simple, but may not be that problematic. However it will get lower priority as there are way more interesting and more useful ideas on the line.

Ok thanks for considering it, I may have an idea how it could be done visually, but we can return to that if you end up adding this feature...

Is there an internal sidechain today?

Yes:

Great, thanks

Would be great if Vojtech could add an analyzer feature for setting this like in mdrumleveler.
