Starting a new set of synth drums...

Hey Folks,

after somehow ending up looking around for drum sounds- for what ever reason- I realized again that I could easily make my own, as per usual. SO...I was just in the mood to start a new set and it's coming along nicely, I think. It's a bit dirtier, yet, even more simplified parameters. (probably too few, but it's W.I.P. anyway).

However, I thought I'd share it with you, because..eh...why not?!

Feel free to modify around, if you wish, of course, but share your thoughts, please, or even your modifications. It is a work in progress, so why not become part of that progress. My current monitoring is ridiculous, so I'm kinda hoping for some of you with much better speaker situation...

Very nice analog drum sounds! :)

I made a little mixdown of the drums solo (with some mini tweaks), makes it easier for others to have a listen:

AH, Cool, Thanks! Uh, they sound very nice in the morning, hahaha! :D
You should post the session with them "mini" tweaks! Would be cool! 8-)

I'm still a bit shaky on the internal compressor, for some reason. I wonder, if it is the missing graphic component, as silly as this sounds, to come to grips with what's going on. I don't think "Reason" had that either, but for some reason it never gave me that kind of uncertainty. HOWEVER, any good example coming from you of those mixing components would most certainly help to shed some light on your ideas. I hope you don't mind me making that suggestion.

I am, however, having a good deal of fun right now with your MuMagic, hehehe. Really love the interface creating, too. Super simple!

Excuse the double reply... just don't want this to be lost in an edit:

I've edited hihats, cymbal and snare. I think it's getting very, very nice indeed. I wished I already knew what tweaks you were doing, Jo. But I can always add them in when you're ready. ;)

I'll do my best to add more visual feedback to the compressor (and other modules). In fact that has quite high priority.

Oh it's nothing special. I just gave the BD equal velocities and tweaked the BD sound a bit, bit lower noise volume and raised the pitch of the BD body a bit. Just using the parms on the front panel.

Cheers! :)

OH, you should try the mux I've uploaded. Sounds almost exactly like what I've done, very inspired by your example, of course!
I'm going to do some more experimentation today, too. I've added a "wideness" parameter and a Stick sound, too. I still have to figure out some cool cymbals, too. It's probably the toughest sound to simulate thus far. But it has always been.

Uh, Oh, and I forgot to say: YAY! (on graphics) :D
