This another dumb one, but I cant figure it out. I will a make loop, or what I want to be a loop, but there is a unwanted space, a measure with nothing in it. How do I trim it down? DUH! I read the MuDocs..still could not find the answer.

ALSO do Sequences and loops..are they supposed to be a certain size? Say 8 measures? I am red faced..but I do not understand how to delete the unwanted measures (the ones with nothing in them.) Thanks! [/b]

For loops, you need to set the loop end marker to mark the end of the loop. The part will then loop its contents at that marker.

The content of a part can be whatever length you need it to be for what you're trying to achieve.

You can change the length of a part by using the mouse pointer - hover over the right-hand end to get the pencil tool, click and drag.

Yes BUT.. the unwanted parts will be there. I want to cut the part within the loop selection arrows, and discard the rest.

I guess I know what you mean. Maybe the solution could look something like this:
In the narrow numbered measure bar above the part being edited, currently one can click and drag with the left mouse button in order to set the loop start and end. How about enabling clicking and dragging in that bar with the right mouse button as well. And when you are finished dragging, you are asked what you want to delete, either the selected measures (in which case the rest of the part before and after those measures will fuse together) or everything but the selected measures, i.e. everything before and after them.

That would be a feature request currently... Crazy as that sounds. Seems that cutting a sequence into two "separate" parts is somehow different or unusual.

I actually like being able to slice my sequence into two (or more) seperate parts. That way when I want to go a little bit off on a certain beat I can just slice a piece off and edit it without worrying about editing other repetitions of the pre-sliced sequence part. Maybe two different ways of slicing? I do understand the slicing off the ends between two locators. Easy enough to set a hot key and then set up a grid to cut along the lines you need. However, I do see how this can be an issue because not everyone likes to use hot keys.

I ran out of ideas
