It depends. The standalone has its own driver settings, independent of your host's settings. So if it's buffer is set longer than your host's, or if its using a different audio driver, then it may add latency.memyselfandus wrote:I have a noob question.
Does the "standalone" version have just a tiny bit more delay than the vst?
I use MIDI guitar into loop midi or whatever into Reason. would this be a fraction of a second slower than lets say.. using MIDI guitar as a vst in Ableton or Reaper?
I can't really tell.. seems a tiny bit slower?
Yes, in fact MIDI Guitar App 2.0 has been approved by Apple. Expect it just after Easter. Its based upon the same engine as the forthcomming version 0.7 of the VST/AU version, which will have many improvements over 0.6.bigcraigie_1 wrote:Any sign of the iPad version being upgraded? Difference between iPad and VST version is night and day.
Yes, as mentioned such MIDI-through it will work from 0.6. It should come out both at the VST midi output and at any internally hosted synth.irvg wrote:Don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but was wondering if there's some way to run midi control messages (like modwheel, for example) from a midi controller thru midi guitar so it would end up in the target synth? I'm running a separate track in Live with a vst to receive midi from the midi guitar channel, but then the vst channel can't receive midi from anywhere else except midi guitar, which only transmits the note info. Maybe there's a Max plugin that could do this? Any ideas?
No, sorry.memyselfandus wrote:any plans for a Reason RE version?
thank you. tried out your plugins a while back.love them. will have to buy one at some pointAdmiralQuality wrote:It depends. The interface of the App version is still kept very simple though.
