while testing our latest creation I tried to make a kind of a dubstep song. Let me know what you think, be critical!

Cheers!
It just needs to breathe a little bit more.MeldaProduction wrote:Thanks ! I'll definitely check the limiter(though I kind of like how massive it is

Why wouldn't it sound good on your speakers? I could squeeze an extra dB out of it further and it would still sound good on your speakers.blipp wrote:
The mix sounded good on my speakers
Obviously not enough.seismic1 wrote:Interesting sounds on here.
For the last year or so I have been paying close attention to the dynamic range levels both pre- and post-mastering on my tracks.
I played it about 30 times.seismic1 wrote: I've played it at least 5 times.
Do I detect some hostility here? I guess I'm lucky I didn't actually disagree with youcodec_spurt wrote:Obviously not enough.seismic1 wrote:Interesting sounds on here.

I guess it's true what they say in the loudness wars. There are those that notice a difference and don't like what they hear. And there are those that just don't know wtf they are talking about.
You guys like quiet music. It's ok. Come round to my place. I'll knock your f***ing socks off. We like it loud here. But we like our hearing more.
Now, really, any more people want to advertise their ignorance and say they can't hear a difference, or even worse, that it sounds good to them?
I hope none of you ever want to produce any songs, or god forbid, code any plugins for DSP tech?
It's really basic stuff, that even I can understand. Because it's true and verifiable. I'm waiting for the heavy weights of the audio world to weigh in and tell me I am wrong. But they won't because they know I am right. Even if they keep their mouths shut.
Great music. Great arrangement. Not sure about the rest.
Maybe this critique is like an arrow through your heart, then maybe you are a true artiste. But this is the caff...
Music is more important than plugins, than relationships, than money, than saying the right thing...
cheers.
