Hi all,

I was trying to find a way to reset the reverb FX I was using back to its default settings. I messed with it so much that I want to now set it back to its original state, so I can start over with it, but I am not seeing how to do that. I don't want to reinitialize my patch, I just want to know how to reset things like the reverb or delay.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Thanks

Just double click any knob in Zebra to set it to the internal default state. You'll have the reverb set to the default state in a few seconds. :)

Ahh ok thanks 1 knob at a time. I had it in my head that the entire FX could just be reset. but this will do.

So the knobs don't go back to there default position when you double click them. there is no way that I have found to reset an FX modual. try it.

Try to bring in say a reverb. then without changing any knobs setting double click the the knobs and you'll see what I mean. they move, if you have not changed them why do they move to another setting?

anyone know if there is a way to do this?

I think we misunderstood what you meant by "default" - double-clicking knobs returns them to a fixed value (default chosen by Urs), not to the value saved within each preset. Yes, resetting individual modules to their stored settings *could* be useful...

could be useful? right now you can't set a modual back to what it was before you started messing with it. id say that's a pretty big issue. the only way is to reinitialize the patch, unless I am missing something?

currently i have no way of knowing what vaules were originally set after I start playing with it.

I totally love zebra, just wish I could have this feature.

Have you tried the undo/redo arrows at the top? They're not perfect but they do a good job of resetting knobs.

Post

yeah, that can be useful. thanks!

If undo/redo misses something (it's not perfect, as Brian says), there's a quirky workaround:

1) Make sure "save only active modules" is switched *on*
2) Remove the reverb module and save your patch
3) Load the original patch, then immediately load your version again
4) Add the Reverb back in and re-save
5) Grab some coffee and read the manual ;-)

I never miss an opportunity to preach step 5)

If you haven't saved any modifications to the patch, doesn't reloading the patch do that?

Coquillo- I was going to say the same thing too. But if you are so enamoured of a particular reverb sound, save the patch as some identifiable name so you can always find it again, or write its values down somewhere. The number 5 is a beautiful number Howard.

thanks Howard, nice work around.
