MMultiBandGranular: about setting synchronization parameters for same result when not synchronized

this is one of the most inspiring vst effect I use.
The thread title is very cumbersome, I know.
I don't sync effects to the master daw tempo that often and, especially when I play live, I would like to be sure the delay effects are playing at a pre-set speed
.
Take the example of the preset called "Cave".
Bands 1, 2 and 3 are synchronized to host tempo.
If I switch the synchronization off on all bands, the delays are changing their speed and the result sounds quite a lot different.
Going on with the example, I would like to save that preset so that whatever the speed of the daw, the rhythmic interplay of the delays is fixed as the one I get when I load the preset with its default parameters at the actual daw bpm.
Thanks,
Luca

Hi Luca,
thank you. To your question - I don't actually know how to understand it - what is the problem with setting the delays manually?

I know,
my question was put not clearly enough.
Let's take preset Cave as an example:
in default mode this preset offers a certain polyrhythmic figure, which depends on daw's bpm.
I like this figure and would like make it play the same pattern at the same speed even if the daw runs on a different bpm.
I tried to switch synchronization off on all bands.
The pattern I get is now changing and I don't get the same result as when it was in synch with the daw.
Is there a way I can set it so that I can reproduce the same result ( polyrhythmic figure/pattern) I get when it is in synch ?
Of course this is related just to the tempo based part of the effect that is affected by synchronization settings.
thanks,
Luca

Hi Luca,
yes, I got that, I just don't understand what the problem is. When you turn off the sync, the grain size parameter takes over, so all you need is to set the grain size accordingly. I understand you'd want the plugin to set the grain size parameter automatically, but that's not possible, because one can easily click the sync button and that would destroy his grain size settings.

Sorry,
I don't see the problem here.
I understand this is a complex thing to achieve.
For sure doing it manually is even more complex !
thanks anyway, this is a great plugin, a little cpu hungry, but still a great one !
my best,
Luca
I don't see the problem here.
It would be nice if, once the synch is switched off, the parameters would translate to their absolute relative values.MeldaProduction wrote:Hi Luca,

The problem is simple - a person is playing with it, then accidentaly / just for curiosity switches the sync on, and boom, the grain size is lost. Not possible, sorry. I'll think about possible solution, but currently I'm not sure how to make it without cluttering the GUI even more.

I understand,
it is the same risk one incurs if he accidentally hits synch and switches it off while playing...
In this case it is of course easier to go back to the parameters' actual values though.
thanks anyway for considering this.
