Looking to create the Tape Stop effect with something that would work with Logic.

If you have Reaktor there are plenty of granular sampler ensembles that could be used for that.

If not I'm sure there's some kind of granular sampler that you could get that can be automated in that way.

Its windows only that one but yeah a good one. I use the method which is somewhat similar in Pro Tools to what Theo mentioned (elastic audio) as its quickest I find or using the oldish vari-fi plugin and rendering (audio suite) sometimes (I like to bounce/render such sections and change later if needed to use as little automation as I can as come mixdown I want as less to have to deal with as possible but that's just preference).

I would use the robojam method but am not as adventurous and reckon if I did I'd quickly forget what I was going to do and lose three hours at least to a lot of fun
