Well, I tried to be true to the spirit of the post, at the cost of legibility.

Nothing wrong with Sylenth on the MAC as long as you use the right host - Cubase

I just posted this on a different topic for Sylenth 1. Hope someone can test this and let us know.

I am running 64 bit Ableton Live 9 on Mac osx 10.8.3 with Jbridge for Mac osx Demo and Sylenth 1 demo(32 bit) and they are working perfectly so far. I might pick up Sylenth 1 now that there is a way to run it on 64 bit DAW. Do any mac users have a full version of Sylenth 1 to test this out with Jbridge for mac . The Demo is at http://jstuff.wordpress.com/jbridgem/ . Let us know if it works. I want to pick it up , and right now I am only 85% sure I will. P.S. I just saw Giuseppe Ottaviani play Live and I can tell you he used this synth for almost every track he played (and was running 2 Mac powerbooks). Amazingly big sound.

God...how I wish we had some kind of news about an updated version of Sylenth1 (I LOVE this synth) or even new products from Lennar Digital...*sigh*..

There are some great alternatives to sylenth out there. They might not be as easy to use, but they can sound just as good or better imo.

I've already demoed several of the top ones (Massive, Zebra 2, ANA, Dune, Diva, ACE, SynthMaster, Predator, Thor inside Reason, etc...). None of them have the simplicity and sound quality of Sylenth1, in my ears of course :(

I'm sure there are pretty killer VSTs out there, but it's just a matter of taste in sound and simplicity department.

It allows me make my sounds fast and good sounding, no need to spend lots of time "sound designing" with complex, monster synths (I already have one that I consider to be amazingly complex and capable, Image Line Harmor, but yet I prefer Sylenth1 for day to day producing routines). Sylenth1 is such a popular and succesful synth because it was kept "simple" and it sounds wonderful, a killer combination.
