re:aalto solo & polyphony — in the pizmidi bundle there's a nifty tool called midiPolyphony; you can use it to spread notes over different midi channels.
So you can set up as many aalto instances as you need voices and assign them different midi receive channels; that way you can compose chords without having to put each note on a different track.

Have you got any clues if I am doing something wrong?
It sounds as though you've got overlapping notes but it's not voice-stealing - how long is the release envelope? Does the situation change if you reduce the envelope times to a minimum? I haven't tested it, but that's the first thing I thought of.
Thanks Gamma-UT. That is what I tried first, but you can shorten every part of the envelope to zero and the problem still is there. :?

I don't believe it is overlapping notes because it always happens at different notes if I play some measures in a loop. This happens with the most basic sound where only the envelope modul is connected with the gate and everything else turned down to just get a sound impulse as well as it happens with randomly chosen factory presets that play some more or less plain note.

Sometimes organic is good too in any case.

I thought that was a REAPER JS plugin  I'd spent most of yesterday looking for it. D'oh!

Definitelly i'm wondering if those seawolves got oscillators in their throats. Amazing, nature is amazing.
But i still prefer the PWM sound from dolphins.

Thanks for sharing, man.
Have a nice day.

Also, note: this is how you set it up in REAPER:

Chord 1, 2 & 3 are separate Aalto instances, set to the same preset... Chord Input track has the midiPolyphony plugin, to split 3 notes (channels 1-3), with each routing specifying a specific midi channel.

Guys, after some more debugging I got my problem sorted out.

I shouldn't have blamed Aalto before cross-checking on a native Windows environment. There everything is running just fine. I am working on Wine under Linux and it seems that Aalto and Wine got some kind of problem working together. Oh, dear ...

Gorgor, are you using a translate version of the page? I couldn't register until I used the page in German without translation.

I had problems with the check-boxes in the 'Interessen' field. When I checked 'Plugins' there on the right side it kept emptying that box and demanded me to declare my interests :(

After several tries I took some other boxes and this time passed the test. Crazy.

Yep, I got the same problem here. I also had to take more than just one box at interests and than it worked.

Is there a way to retrigger notes instead of legato?
