Default library hidden on OSX????

I would like to put my presets in the folder that sylenth automatically loads upon launching the vst but i cant find i at all??!!!! It loads somewhere like library/preferences/sylenth but this folder is invisible when i look in the Finder does anybody know where the default loading folder is for sylenth presets??

Unfortunately, since Lion, Apple has decided to hide the Library folders - mainly to dissuade people from messing with the contents unless they really want to. But it makes finding presets a PITA because they will usually go into the Audio/Presets folders or into Preferences.

If you haven't got something like PathFinder running, open up Finder, head to the 'Go' menu and hit 'Go to folder...'. Type in ~/Library/Preferences/LennarDigital. It'll take you to where you need to go. The tilde symbol in front of Library is important as it refers to your user folders.

The default behaviour can be changed using the command line (Terminal) so Google "mac unhide library" if you want more info about that.

i simply made an alias to the soundset folder in my user library, and put it in my music folder. easy access!....

Another option to make it slightly more easily accessible without 'unhiding' it: once it is shown in Finder (e.g. following ZenPunkHippy's tip), drag it to the Sidebar in Finder.

Os just "unhide" everuthing, because we are users, own the system, and deserve to be treated with respect, not like "morons"

Yeah, I recommend permanently disabling it system-wide, because there are many times when plug-ins or installers cue you for a location and the finder window won't allow you to get there.

Hey guys, this is too easy to do in the command line. Just open Terminal and type the following (then hit Enter):

chflags nohidden ~/Library/

You will then find Library under your home directory. You can drag it to Favorites if you really wish to.

Yes, also, just click MENU -> Open Data Folder in Sylenth1. That'll directly bring you to the presets folder in Finder!
