Here's fifty-nine Synthmaster2 presets for your enjoyment (or disgruntling). They aren't really commercial quality, that is, I haven't optimized the volumes, there's no assignments to the easy control knobs, there's some duplicates and derivatives without much change to the original (so more like 50 of them, I guess) -- and well, they're more towards the glitchy and distorted spectrum of sounds. Maybe you'll find them useful as they are or as basis for new sounds.
Here's a list of what's inside the zip-file. Put the folder 'ras.s' to <your Synthmaster2 installation folder>/Presets/.

Why do you think it's weird?FLWrd wrote:Nice work, man. I also seriously dig SynthMaster. It's a bit weird in comparison to the current big-time plugins, but it's so fantastically editable.

If you'd like I can upload them to the online browser after editing the volumes and the easy presets!
Thanks!

Thanks FLWrd and kv331. And feel free to tweak them and upload them there, if you think they are nice enough.
Thanks for Synthmaster!

I'll try to phrase it concisely: it's not weird in concept, it just sits a bit oddly between its competitors.kv331 wrote:Why do you think it's weird?FLWrd wrote:Nice work, man. Most plugins seem to specialize these days. I've even seen one that is just for wobble bass. And the marketing seems to follow the current "branding life style" trend. They scream "I'm the best in this genre", and their skin is tailored to it: super dirty, extra clean, or round or square, etc. They also specialize in one kind of sound generation: one is even more analog than the other, or even more digital than a DX-7.
SynthMaster, OTOH, has an entirely different philosophy: it tries to do many things, and do them decently. Its looks are pretty much functional.
So SynthMaster is a bit against the grain. It's a doddle to program, sounds good, and its modulation facilities really work, but it's not the lifestyle product that many people seem to lust after these iPhone riddled days...

Thanks for the presets. I thought with Synthmaster it would be possible to upload and download user presets in an online preset bank? I'm sure I read something about it, or am I wrong?

You're welcome too, hope you find even one of them useful .. And yea, there's an upload button in the preset manager. I haven't tried it though. Maybe you could?
Personally my favorites of this bunch (I selfishly saved some of the better ones for my private endeavours.....) are 'In your soul', 'Low-end heartbeat' and the ones labeled as wind.. And the 'Shakermaker' is quite a clever one, even though I say it myself.. It's for the FX version and it, well, turns the audio input into a shaker sound. Feed it with some hihat loops or something and adjust to taste.
And I kind of agree with FLWrd here, Synthmaster might not have that media sexy appeal some other developers aim for, but it sure does what it does really well (which is pretty much anything). I haven't had any urge to buy other do-it-all synthesizers since having SM, which is for a few years now. For me, it's the Master of Synthesizers, and I hearken it. (Well I occasionally do buy some special purpose synths, I'm a big sucker for string synthesizers for example..)
