Aalto

Z,
the only way I could get a retrigger like behavior was to use the Seq in trigger mode- in it, create an envelope like shape and then hook that up to something like the Filter cut off. each note will trigger the Seq a new. I couldn't get it to work on the volume though.

ok, I finally got it downloaded. I'll fire it up when I get home...

Work in progress, and messing around - made a pad using 30 instances. The only Driver that could handle it was ASIO4ALL on 2048 buffer setting. One more instance of Aalto and it would stutter... although If I took off the filter, reverb and delay in the 'Pad Send' Bus - there could be more added.

Taking Aalto to the Limits - just messing around with Aalto.

Well, if nothing else, this is validating that I didn't over-spec my recent DAW rebuild. 6-core Xeon @ 3.2 Ghz, 8GB RAM, Win7 64bit, Studio One 2 64 bit. 20 instances of Aalto all running variously complex patches puts me right at 45% CPU. So yeah, it's a bit hungry, but dang does it sound good!

I have not been able to tame this bronco. Too many crashes/freezes in FL Studio and a massive CPU hog on my laptop. Here is my submission for this month. Just ten instances of Aalto Solo and Fruity Compressor/Limiter. I like it, though. It's raw and I can see myself spending more time with it, perhaps even purchase the full version at some point. :)

Hey everyone, I found out by using (only windows) ASIO4ALL drivers (using my comp's sound card instead of the audio interface), I can squeeze out a few extra instances of Aalto: http://www.asio4all.com/

Since it has better latency

Just paste the link, the player will show up automatically.

Also post info: how many instances, what other fx, what host, etc.
