So for my birthday this year, I picked up a Squier Vintage Modified Jaguar. Flipping fantastic for a $300 guitar.

Amazing looking couple, amazing looking place.
Congratulations to both of you.
First wedding I've been to that I didn't want to be somewhere else. Apart from my own.

Nice! I have an Azumi Nanyo 6 string of similar vintage. same stain with the blond bit through the middle. Bought that in 1981.

I wanna have a go at this. I just have to choose a victi... a worthy instrument.

daions are hidden gems, only made for a few years in the late 70s and early 80s...handmade in Japan, incredible craftsmanship and very sought after.

I'm planning on making my next bass once we have our machine up and running, and it's going to be a headless. :tu:

It's also going to have a three-octave, fretless neck. :)

This may seem like a silly question, but has anyone here played a fretless bass with a pick?

I don't think I ever have, and I don't have any picks anymore, so I can't try it and see how it sounds.

I've never liked the sound of plucking with a coin, so I know I won't like that.

I used to use near the thinnest picks you could buy whenever I played with a pick, which wasn't very often.

You can make a makeshift pick with a sharp knife and various pieces of plastic. Tops from food and drink containers is a good place to start.
