Is that normal?
This is not a big problem, but I wonder why this is happening. All the other software instruments don't have this problem (ESX24, Kontakt, Aichemy...etc)
It's usually related to either loop lengths not being multiples of buffer sizes, or plugin latency. Or sync settings. Or all of those.Garycactus wrote:In logic Pro when a note (notes) is in a loop mode, Zebra doesn't start playing a note exactly at the beginning of the loop. I need to move a note slightly for Zebra to play it.

You're lucky - I just happened to have my copy/pasted of Urs' tips open on my desktop, so I can quickly paste it here as well.Urs wrote:It's usually related to either loop lengths not being multiples of buffer sizes, or plugin latency. In Logic you're pretty safe to turn latency off of our plugins, which works with a hidden trick in a default preset. It's too late a Saturday night to explain now. Maybe on Monday.
We're also happy to look at a Logic project that exhibits the behaviour, and we can often find a workaround or fix.

Would you mind downloading and extracting this default.h2p file?

Just put it in the root preset directory of any synth, e.g. MacHD/Library/Audio/Presets/u-he/Zebra2 and restart your host. Thence the 16 samples are no more, but beware that buffer size must be a multiple of 16 or else…
As for loop lengths not being multiples of buffer sizes: try if you also see the issue at e.g. 125 BPM, buffer size (a multiple of) 64, sample rate 48kHz (which has integer ratios between buffer size and musical time for many common cases; for example, a 16th note will be exactly 90 buffers).Urs wrote:Faux Pas - !BLOCK_LATENCY_OFF=YES turns latency off, not NO. Just edit it to YES and you're good.
