Hi,
I'm in the process of getting my music from a Mac on a PC (don't ask me why...).
I used to take Zebra AU but in PC world I'm using VST and the main problem is I don't save the sounds I used in a Zebra patch. I was getting the patches at the same time I recall the song and the VST in their current state.
So I cannot get back my patches without resave all one by one.
It's my problem, but it could be interesting to have in Zebra (and other VST) a Save as... function which can save (and load) a Zebra patch from anywhere on the disk, and expecially to/from the song folder where I can put all the patches I'm using.
Just an idea...
Asking for a new feature...

Well, if your patches are in .aupreset format (as opposed to being embedded in Logic song files or similar), then they can be converted to .h2p or .fxp or .vstpreset quickly.

Alas no, because actually I did not save my patches since they were recalled when the songs loads.
But it doesn't change the fact that a Save as... feature could be good.
How do you save your patches for a particular song ?
The simple response is to not save the patches because when you save the patches you have to remember what patch go to what Zebra instance. You need a note pad !
But it would be safer to do so.
The song folder seems to be the best place to put song patches, not the Zebra global patches folder.

You simply save and rename.
Saving patches is just a wise approach, in so many ways... you can reuse, do variations... even SELL THEM!
Every time you save, the dialog box pops up and gives you the option to rename and will alert you if you try to overwrite with the same name.
If you still have the mac, just open the songs are start saving versions of patches with the required MIDI files.
One should not depend on autosave... we had to save files separately back before the computer did the chore. Moving to a different platform is ALWAYS a huge pain in terms of related files and folders... but worth it.
If you want, you can save the patches with MIDI patch prefixes [001patchname, 002songname, etc] and store them in the MIDI folder... all neat, portable and tidy.
