Hi all

I've been using MuLab for a while now and I'm getting along really well with it. I was wondering if anyone uses it live in any way? I have a sort of solo music project, and I've played a few live gigs, but I play to some backing tracks I made on Cubase, with a guitar and occasionally a Casio keyboard. I recently got a Microkorg which has opened up a lot of possibilities. I haven't fully figured out MuLab's looping functionality but is it anywhere near even the most basic functionality of something like Ableton?

I was thinking of using a controller to start a loop, play something in on microkorg, stop recording, then have that loop repeat at certain intervals. Anyone?

There is no "real" way to do this in Mulab yet. You could use a sustain pedal with sequences assigned to MIDI notes , but that is rather impractical. I believe Jo put this on the wishlist though so we'll see :)

I thought of a way...you write in empty phrases/sequences at the periods you want them, record the first one... turn record off, then it will write it to all the instances of that sequence...right?

If that are shared sequences (i.e. having a oo symbol before the sequence name) then this might work indeed. Experiment with it 8)

MuLab is not yet focused on live performance sequencing. That's on the wishlist indeed. Though you can play sequences from the MUX and with using a Note Splitter and a bunch of Sequence Player modules you might also be able to setup some live set.
