When opening a saved edit the tracks with VSTi are not making any sound, the click track does and if I post a VSTi in another track it does too! But the original ones dont.

Thanks folks! Glad to hear it works in at least some cases - these are very early days for the linux version! I'm away this week, but will try to look into it a bit more deeply soon...

Double click and it will open the package manager and ask to install.Stephan326 wrote:How do we start tracktion in Linux?
Then you can open it by:
In Ubuntu/Kubuntu/Mint/Gnome ... you can just write on the dash or "start menu" and it will search for you. Or you can do like below.
In older models go to applications in the "start menu" and IIRC it is in "others" group

I installed Ubuntu 12 a while back on an older dual core Lenovo and I'm seeing the following when I try to install:
Code: Select all
dpkg: error processing TracktionInstall_64bit_Linux_4_3_0.deb (--install):
package architecture (amd64) does not match system (i386)
Errors were encountered while processing:
TracktionInstall_64bit_Linux_4_3_0.deb

My guess is its an issue on x86_64 machines, and I also expect it'll get sorted quickly, if that's all it is.
Does seem to be folk with Intel props having this trouble.
Check your /var/crash directory. On a new install of ubuntu studio, only tracktion installed after, it dropped a crash dump in there that I mailed through about five minutes back. A few others might confirm it's the same issue
