I just heard Anouk. That song is just so far ahead of everything else I had to endure up to this point. It's so good that it really stands no chance of winning.

Next up, who needs autotune?

Cynical? Moi?

I can second this... my personal hitlist so far goes something like

1)Anouk
.
.
.
.
.
.
2)Cascada and the Finnish woman
.
3) Dracula Skrillex

My thoughts exactly :)

Cascada was very nervous and i think in the beginning she was a lil bit ahead of the beat.

The Greek chorus of "Alcohol is free", whilst laudworthy is obviously an attempt to undermine the political voting system later with promises that won't be kept, unfortunately. :?

My favorite is Greece - because it's a funny, crazy song with Greek influences. 8) Only the hookline "Alcohol is free" is a bit weak... :help:

Another entry that I like is Albania...because it shows some Identity... :tu:

The German contribution is not bad, and Natalie looks like a nice Swedish girl with her bleached hair - but "Glorious" sounds a bit mainstreamy-boring, these guys had some better hits, for example "Evacuate the Dancefloor"...

What happened to "my" beloved country Italia? This boring Italian-Pop-song sounds like all others Italian-Pop-songs... :-o

At least we'll have to vote someone other than Cyrpus now that they are not in the final... :hihi:

(About the UK entries) On the other hand to much Euroscepticisism doesn't help either. And what Euro has to do with Eurovision you may ask... I don't know, perhaps the butterfly effect. :P

So.. most of the singers can't even sing properly in tune? I just accidentally opened the television, and now my ears are bleeding. What is this horror?

Don't you feel dirty right now.

That's because you OPENED the TV!

Just close it and switch it on via the remote...

The lyrics in the Swedish Smörgåsbord are amongst the best of the evening.

So denmark is winning? Fail.

Loved Loreen btw.
Finally!

Aside from Dracula Castrato, it was rather short on cringe-worthy moments this year. :(

Looks like Denmark is going to win... can't even remember the song, although she's cute as hell.

All of this "belting at the top of your voice after the key change to a dramatic artificial string crescendo" has really tired me out. Holland 12, Greece 10, Malta 8. The rest get zero. Horrible, generic songs all around.

Bonnie Tyler? Oh, you Brits and your sense of humour. :hihi:

I listened to all 39 entries, and I found max. 6 songs that were a bit interesting.

The rest was cheaply made mainstream pop... :(

The Tony Iommi-penned Armenian song was particularly nauseating. I'd rather hear Ozzy sing "Dreamer" ten times in a row than have to listen to that tripe again. The off-key singing and the hero guitar solo were kind of funny, though.
