As usual, I am getting a certain amount for my birthday. I wish it was twice as much but oh well.

If you only had $50-100, what would you buy? That price range excludes ones like Zebra and Diva of course. I'd like Zebra, but probably won't happen.

My PC is kinda old, so Ace is out of the question too. :)

Among others, I have Wusikstation, Saurus, Gladiator, ElectraX, OP-X Pro II, Rayblaster, and ANA.

Lush can be bought for just that amount. Out of all my "I respect these" synths, Lush is the one.

DCAM can be found at $99 as well.

Unless you are like me, and rather take SIDizer...
It's all about the wavelets. I dream of the perfect additive synthesis.
You can hire me if you are in Toronto! Contact for details.

Rapture and Z3TA+ 2 fall in that price range.

Harmor is a really great synth and still on sale at JRR Shop (and there are many other great synths & effects from Image Line on sale).

If you want to have all sorts of synthesis in one synth, I would go for Synthmaster...but don't feel being overwhelmed by the user interface... :hihi:

I bought DCAM for $99. Couldn't be happier.

Synthmaster is also a bargain for $99.

Dang... as a new owner and explorer of Zebra2, I have to say save up a little while longer and get it for $150 with u-he's fake dinosaur retirement program.

I cannot think of a better sounding and more flexible synth...

There are plenty of of free VSTi's out there to possibly satisfy you while you sit on that cash and look for Zebra2 in the marketplace. Could probably even get it for $130-$140. ;)

Either Padshop pro or Helix :p

BTW, you can get ACE for free if you get a subscription for the (German) Beat magazine...

Yep, and it's $59 if you're a student. Plus, if you look around, they usually offer 10-30% off.

Enable that multicore button and then add Valhalla Vintage reverb and go mad with it.
