Well, when purchasing Z2, the idea of receiving Z3 for free made the decision to buy the Dark Zebra very easy. I look at Z3 as the most incredible freebie I have ever received since buying music software. If it takes some more time, that's fine for me. I'll probably need to buy Satin to keep me entertained until Z3 is ready.

Urs, any plans of having a public beta phase for Z3 or is it going to be ready to sell from the get-go?

This deal is amazing though, pretty much any other company would make you pay at least some upgrade price.

oh i see, so upgrade from zebra 2 to 3 would cost more? Dark doesnt look atracktive at all for me.

I'm confused lol
Zebra3 = $249
Zebra2 to Zebra3 upgrade = $30

So if you really only want to get Zebra3 we have two options:
$199(Zebra2) + $30(Update) = $229 (instead of $249, save $20)
-or-
$199(Zebra2) + $99(ZebraHZ) = $298 (instead of $249, overpaid $49 but you got ZebraHZ and Zebra2)

Did I got this right lol?

I think you have mathematically.

I get the feeling that zebra3 in a sense will be almost a new product more than a mere upgrade? Like I think I may have read that z3 won't necessarily read z3/2.5's presets?

Yep, Z3 will be a whole new thing, so Z2 patch compatibility won't be 100%. Far from it, possibly.

So, for $298, you get THREE synths. :D

It's only over-paying if you think presets made by Howard and Hans are worth nothing.

The sounds themselves are worth far more than $49. I'm not even mentioning the value you get from taking apart some of the sounds either. TDZ is an amazing product by itself, not even counting the free upgrade to Z3.

It's no brainer, as EvilDragon said: you get 3 synths for $298! :)
