For 20 bucks, Rapture is a definite no-brainer.

I hope you know that DimPro stopped using wav files for samples some time ago. All the samples that ship with DimPro are FLAC files. You can convert them and DimPro does still support wav.yessongs wrote: Is anyone using these resources in other synths? I will try to see if I can use some of the Z3ta wavetables in synthmaster and the wav files in dim pro also.

With a good editor like Goldwave (with batch processing) FLAC files can be converted to WAV files within a few minutes...even with the demo-version...scook wrote:I hope you know that DimPro stopped using wav files for samples some time ago. Now if only Goldwave could convert the sfz files to point to the wav files that would be great.Tricky-Loops wrote:With a good editor like Goldwave (with batch processing) FLAC files can be converted to WAV files within a few minutes...even with the demo-version...

Can the file paths in the SFZ files only be changed in an TXT editor?scook wrote:Now if only Goldwave could convert the sfz files to point to the wav files that would be great.Tricky-Loops wrote:With a good editor like Goldwave (with batch processing) FLAC files can be converted to WAV files within a few minutes...even with the demo-version...

There are so many, I would probably take a stab with sed. That really does reduce the job to a fairly easy task. I have seen where someone actually did it by hand...ouch.Tricky-Loops wrote:Can the file paths in the SFZ files only be changed in an TXT editor?scook wrote:Now if only Goldwave could convert the sfz files to point to the wav files that would be great.Tricky-Loops wrote:With a good editor like Goldwave (with batch processing) FLAC files can be converted to WAV files within a few minutes...even with the demo-version...

Plogue sforzando is a better bet - it can play sfz files with flac encoding.

Of course you're still not playing the actual Dimension patches, just the samples they are based on.

Interested in this soundset. Are there any film scoring/hybrid-ish arp style demos? Can soundset be used for that genre? I can't find any naked demos in that vein (pads, arps, synth basses).Chad@PA wrote:The FISOUND U120 Expansion Pack is on sale for 50% OFF thru the weekend here:scook wrote:The Rapture Expansion Packs that I would recommend Fisound Universal 120 and Galbanum Pisces are not on sale.

I can send you guys Dim Pro's sfzs that use .wav extension in the files vs flac. Just send me a PM if you want.scook wrote: There are so many, I would probably take a stab with sed. That really does reduce the job to a fairly easy task. I have seen where someone actually did it by hand...ouch.

I assume they have started the death phase for all their synths except Z3ta and maybe something brand new already in the pipeline...
The rest will end up in the cheap legacy section of their online shop, rubbing shoulders with Pentagon etc.

Everything in it sounds like an organ to me.
