I can't make out the velocities there, could you export that as MIDI or zoom out so I can see the levels?

With the beta patch, you only have to load one instance. Activate Split MIDI Channels in the Engine 2 tab, set the MIDI channel to Omni, and use FL Studio's note colors to change the notes' MIDI channels to select the strings to use.metalheart wrote:yes but loading 7 shreddage instances for poly legato only is a bit annoying... :?warfighter67 wrote:Poly legato can be done using many instances of shreddage set to their own MIDI channel. Kontakt 5 does not use up extra memory for multiple loaded instances of a same library, too.

hey Rokujuushi can you make a mini tutorial explaining with an example the procedure to achieve a poly legato?? I would be very grateful!

I stand corrected. It looks like there are some bugs when trying to do portamento with the multi-channel method. I tried putting a short example together, but the portamento didn't seem to behave properly when processing multiple channels at once. The most noticeable issue was this weird "pop" that happens about a second into the notes that doesn't occur when only processing a single channel.

Thanks Rokujuushi, you're very kind as ever.So for now the only way to perform a correct poly legato is using multiple instances of Shreddage?

I can see about improving poly legato functionality for the MIDI channel poly mode... again it's quite tricky but I'll see what I can do!
I mentioned this in another thread btw but right now I'm waiting on new audio samples (releases and FX / scrapes) to really push things out.

FYI we just got the new recordings (finally) so expect dozens of additional FX and noises of various kinds (pick + release). I'm experimenting with even stronger 'extra pick noise' for more note lead-in time.

I have a request!
I just bought Shreddage 2 and it's amazing!
I own Prominy's V-Metal, and it sounds great, but the main reason why I bought Shreddage is because of its extra low tuning! When down tuning with other libraries the low notes begin to sound awful making it difficult to write the really heavy stuff.
Shreddage is perfect... Almost.
I own an 8-String Guitar. I tune to Drop-E. Shreddage only goes down to G, which is fine. I can use the Tune knob in Kontakt to down tune it some more which is a good work around, and it still sounds great dropped 3 semitones, but then it makes writing for me kind of confusing when the notes I'm playing down match up with the notes on the Piano Roll Editor.
I think it would be awesome if you could add a "Tune" knob inside of Shreddage that would remap the notes lower. I know that space is an issue because you have both of the Powerchords and Single notes in the same patch... but if you do decide to make a Keyswitch Patch I think this would be a really awesome idea.

Drop E? Well that's just bloody ridiculous.
