Temporary lock while I split the distraction off to another thread.
[edit Done. The split-off posts are at http://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopic.php?p=5370968 Any discussion of what I believe to be duplicate accounts should go there, not here. Thanks.]

Yes, you have to upload your track to your Soundcloud account, then share the track in the correct group. Note that there are 2 groups for OSCs, share the track in the one without the orange warningrammellzee wrote:so we upload our submission to our own soundcloud account and post a link in this thread, correct?
sorry for the stupid questions but well ...
thanks
This orange thing means that the group is being moderated to avoid posting more tracks when we reach submissions deadline.
Have a nice day and welcome to OSC.

Hello everyone!
This is my very first entry to a KVR One-Synth-Challenge:
The Night Is Dark and Full of Terrors
Stats:
======
* DAW: Sonar X2 Producer
* Podolski: 12 Instances (mostly tweaked factory presets with a couple of custom ones that originated from patches contributed by members of this forum)
* FX used: FreeVerb3 VST, Mildon Studios 30-band Graphic Equalizer VST, You Wa Shock VST, MeldaProductions MCompressor VST, Channel Tools from the DAW (for stereo widening of some patches)
* Automation: volume control on one track
* Dynamic Range level: 14
With so many high quality tracks submitted thus far, I almost didn't bother submitting my entry, but I decided that participating would be more fun than sitting on the sidelines again (like I usually do). Voting for my top five is going to be extremely difficult: so many excellent songs covering many different genres of music with each and every individual track exquisitely composed and engineered. The sound patches you folks crafted with the Podolski synth are absolutely stunning. I tip my hat to the prowess of all the excellent artists and sound engineers involved; truly top-notch work!
I'm very thankful to be a part of this fun challenge -- thank you to all of the entrants for another stellar collection of great electronic songs to play on my MP3 player!

so if every effect in glitch is disabled and he uses the bandstop this should be allowed. or does a tapestop count as a pitchshift?Mushy Mushy wrote:Any FX that alter pitch are not allowed.Harthstein wrote:Is it allowed to use this plugin: dblue Glich v1.3 beta Freeware?

However tapestop is by definition pitch.
Wait for the judges to rule

From Dblue Glitch free version, you can use:rammellzee wrote:so if every effect in glitch is disabled and he uses the bandstop this should be allowed. or does a tapestop count as a pitchshift?Mushy Mushy wrote:Any FX that alter pitch are not allowed.Harthstein wrote:Is it allowed to use this plugin: dblue Glich v1.3 beta Freeware?

The filters, slightly use of distortion mixed with the signal to add saturation, (but Podolski has a Drive knob to do this on board), slightly use of Crusher, again mixed with the signal.
You also can feel free to use the Gater, which is just volume down/up syncronized with tempo.
You can not use:
·TapeStop which is pitchshifting, so not allowed.
·Modulator, which is FM modulation.
·Buffer type effects, which are Retrigger, Shuffler and Reverser.
·Delay, which can become flangey effect if you use low rates of speed and high amount of feedback (However, you can use Podoslki delay extremely if you want, because it comes from the synth itself).
·Stretcher which changes the nature of the sound very easily.
I hope everything was clear.
In any case, the best option is to not use this, others participants could find it a bit cheeky or unpleasant and you could notice it in the final votes.
In any case, you don't have to use always a tapestop effect to make a bass drop, there are a few other tricks to do this.
Have a nice day

hi. May I ask: still in time to workout a track and submit in few hours? Make it sense or is late? How many hours there are still left starting from until the end of submission? Thanks a lot. Greetings
