I replied to a related prior thread, but because this is a separate issue regarding samples in a Synthmaster soundset, I thought it best to have a separate thread to address this problem:

I recently purchased Synthmaster and have fallen in love with it!
...soo, I did purchase some of the NU soundsets after listening to the awesome demos ;)

I am having a problem with the "NU Art Rock Basics" set...not all of the samples for sfz's are loading correctly...
some are and aren't. I cannot understand why some presets work and others do not. It seems arbitrary:

Stick Basses are reverting to using sines...
"Half Speed Brass" using sines, etc...and ALL the Tron400 sounds are reverted back to sine...
all the other sounds seem to find their appropriate samples just fine...

the expansions folder DoES show there ARE wav's and sfz's for the sounds that I am assuming should be referenced for these presets, but they are not loading..

I am on a Win7 OS...

Please advise?

You ran the setup for this expansio right?
I just tested on windows 7 64bit, works without any issues

when you install it, did you choose the correct folder for SyntHMaster?

first- to be clear: while my OS is running win7 64bit, I am using the 32bit version of the Synthmaster.

I installed the expansion to the same address where the others I purchased are installed."Nori Ubukata Historical Synth Giants Vol 2" and "Nori Ubukata Historic Synth Giants Vol4" work just fine...but I dont' believe there are any samples associated to those sets?

in any case, I *did* run the setup file for the set and my initial instal directory for the Art Rock Basics expansion set is
c:\Program Files(86)\Vstplugins\instruments\KV331audio

once setup ran...
In the presets subdirectory:
c:\Program Files(86)\Vstplugins\instruments\KV331audio\presets
several folders are included and these smpb files are included:
Nori Ubukata Art Rock Basics.smpb
Nori Ubukata Historic Synth Giants Vol4.smpb
Nori Ubukata Historical Synth Giants Vol 2.smpb
OnlinePresets.smpb

I also have a directory associated to the Art Rock Basics:
c:\Program Files(86)\Vstplugins\instruments\KV331audio\expansions

I've tried installation to these paths for the Art Rock Basics set:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\Instruments\KV331 Audio
C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins\Instruments\KV331 Audio\presets

I get the same results either location I install to...
samples are found for the same presets and are missing for the same presets as I mention in my initial post.

when changing installation locations I *did* run the uninstall exe for the Art Rock Basics set..

I am puzzled.

Me too.

Do you see the sample files under:

C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugIns\KV331 Audio\Expansions\NU Art Rock Basics\Samples

in my setup, here is the path that was created:
C:\Program Files (x86)\VstPlugIns\KV331 Audio\Presets\Expansions\NU Art Rock Basics\Samples

I just tried copying the expansion folder to the path you list above and the result are still the same (IE- samples are replaced by sine...)

still confused...
