If you read the thread on the Prodyssey you'll see structure has everything to do with it. The developer had to make a choice between polyphony or authenticity. They chose polyphony in this case and he mentions some of the things that had to be changed to achieve this. He says it was not possible to just switch in a circuit as the way the oscillators interact is completely different in each method. Again this is not my opinion but that of a developer who chose the polyphonic route for their model.EvilDragon wrote:Odyssey's structure has nothing to do with it.
I'm not saying it's impossible to have a polyphonic Oddity as things have moved on since then and no problem is insurmountable, just that it would need some way of having the duophonic mode too or you lose it completely - but it's not just a case of adding more voices. But that's for the developers to worry about.
