Using Jack in Linux version

This could easily be me misconfiguring something, but I can use ALSA in tracktion 4.3.1 fine, but not Jack.
Ubuntu Studio 13.04. I've started Jack wit qjckctl and (from memory) if I open Ardour, which comes with the distro, and have the connections button open in qjckctl, I see ardour get added and connected. Close ardour, restart jackd, open tracktion, and no app get added in connections in qjckctl.

However, the third tab in connections, midi, I think does see JUCE something or other added, as a midi through, I think, from memory.

In the tracktion settings, audio tab, I only get the option of None for audio input and output, if I select Jack

Guess all I'm asking is if anyone has Jack working in tracktion in case I'm wasting time looking for a config mistake on my lappy, because jack support is a work in progress. In other words, is this a bug, or me missing something?

Cheers

Hello!

I think It is a bug....but I was looking at your post and it just hit me....pulse audio/jack bridge. With this in theory you can use jack like regular...i just dont know about the latency with pulseaudio.

tell me what you think.
