Kirnu products sometimes don'twork, and SuperTron 2.6 I haven't got it to play back at all! It works normally, but when I record, there is no sound. I want to figure this out, these are great VSTs.

I am using a slower dual core computer with Win XP and 4gb ram. MuLabs is great, but inconsistent. I got the SuperTron to work.. but then, it would not work! I would reload the plugin..then it would work.

I upgraded from 2gb Ram but still there are inconsistencies. It will freeze up or bog down. I am using the Freeware version of MuLab..version 5.1.x

Update: This could be my old dual core cpu , at least on the SuperTron. It's a pity, because that is the best sequencer.

Bogging down, perhaps. But if your system is freezing, I'd take a look at your system and software installation before I blamed Mulab. I've had it freeze on me exactly once--when I tried to record 4 hours straight of audio (by mistake). It might actually have been thinking, but I got impatient and shut it down. Most of the issues I've had turned out to be the fault of the VSTs involved.

In other words, it's pretty darn stable. Random freezes are quite often a sign of bad memory. Memtest86+

And Intel dual-core CPUs are not slow. Not as fast as newer CPUs, but people have been recording successfully on far slower machines for decades.

Hmm. My ram is a good brand- GSkill. My dual core is a AMD. There is something fishy though. It may very well be malware that is causing it. MuLab has blue screened on me a few times. I have Windows XP set up for Audio. There is no swapfile. A lot of stuff is stripped out of it.

It bogs down sometimes, like there is not enough horsepower there. It is as if, there is not enough memory. But the memory is maxed out, I just upgraded it.

Another thing.. sometimes, it takes the VSTs a long time to load. Sometimes- they will not load at all. Hmm.

I switched MuLabs to another drive, a 400gb I just installed as my old main drive is getting full. I did not have these problems on the old drive. A couple of times it blue screened on me though.

I'd still check the memory. Sometimes it just goes bad, no matter what the brand. Malware could do it. bad drivers. Corrupt dlls. The list of things that could be wrong is long. A fresh OS install can be a good thing.

Figured it out! Turned out to be USB external drives. I had just installed a Seagate Barracuda. Swappped it for Hitachi, then disconnected my USB drives. I'll bet it's a Power issue. The Moboard is a ASUS M68N Plus that uses DDR2 memory. No more problems so far.
