Thanks! It took me about an hour and a half.Doc Brown wrote:That's awesome! I wish I could make that. Nice job.
Make sure you check out my free bank too, if you haven't already.

Is this better in sound quality than N6 or Synth1?

well I didn't remember this was answered in the faq on the 1st page from the developer so it looks like you can share ghostwaveGhostwave wrote:If the developer says it's allowed to redistribute modifications of his work, I will.ScottZ wrote:Jbravo and ghostwave can you you upload your skin/pngs? - I don't like the GUI color. Can I replace the GUI skin?
Yes, you may use a Resource Editor to replace the image in the DLL. I even allow you to share your hacked DLL as long as you distribute it along with the original readme/license files and a clear note that this is not the original version and point people to the place where they can find the original.
- Will you add official skinning support?
Not in the near future as it involves quite some work with IMO only limited value in return.
well it lacks built in effects like the other 2 so you need those sometimes, but has zero-delay feedback so definitely sounds brighter imo why not give it a try small and free?srv-musikmaker wrote:Is this better in sound quality than N6 or Synth1?

My Darkpulse skin is now available to everyone:

To download it, simply go the the GUI work page on my website.
I've modified the x86 and x64 versions of Charlatan v1.4.1 (can someone check the x64 version works?) leaving all original files in the archive to respect the developer's work.
I'll try to keep this skin updated but I can't guarantee that it will be possible.

That would be nice as aftertouch is my favourite way of modulating sounds.ScottZ wrote:not sure if it was ever brought up before, but have ever thought of adding support for aftertouch?
However, I'd like the possibility of controlling the filter cutoff with the modwheel directly. This only way to do this now is through the LFO.

When you use several synths, it might be confusing on which side of the 4 adsr sliders the velocity slider is located, it would thus be nice if the velocity slider were set apart somehow. Also, since sometimes it is important to set, say, the attack of both envelopes to the same level (or the filter attack slightly lower to prevent clicks), it might be easier to accomplish that if the envelopes are at the same height visually. See the new layout I made in Paint, thus the amazing image quality
I also removed the superfluous lines below and above the slider zero and max positions, and gave lines different width...
And I prefer the amp and global stuff being at the very right side, at the end of the signal flow so to speak.
And with my layout you have LFO and modulation envelope in the same column, which makes sense.

Nice attire for Charlatan, Ghostwave. Easy on the eyes, yes.

+1Teksonik wrote:Why not just have a resources folder outside the .dll like a lot of plugins have and that would allow people to mod the gui without feeling "dirty" about hacking the .dll ?karrikuh wrote: I love conspiracy theories like thisAs stated in the FAQ, I don't have the slightest problem with reskinning as long as some terms are respected. What I did in the 1.4 release is rewrite the graphics handling code. A side effect is that the plugin now has hard-coded expectations about the color format of each PNG resource. If you want to replace a PNG, you have to make sure that the new one uses the exact same color format as the original (essentially RGB vs. RGBA). If you still have problems, let me know!
Just a suggestion.........

I'm assuming he is developing a commercial version of this with more features and probably skin able. He can't give up everything in the free version.
I'm just happy it's free and others are making cool skins.
Nice job Ghostwave. I will have to download your bank also.
