So I'm running Runciter in Logic and I want to use the extern/midi dial. I select velocity, turn the extern/midi dial to the right, turn cutoff to the left (9 o'clock), record some midi notes in logic and change velocity values so that the cutoff should be affected. Nothing happens! The cutoff is not changed. Please anyone with advice can you tell me if I am doing something wrong. Is this a bug?
Thanks in advance.

So I found out how to do this. Its is as follows:
1) Create an instrument track and choose your instrument
2) Under the instrument where it says "Stereo Out" click and hold and change to Bus 1 (assuming you are not using any other buses already)
3) Go into the environment and locate Bus 1. Where it says "Stereo Out" click and hold to select "No Output"
4) Go back to the main arrange window, create another instrument track and on the INSTRUMENT INSERT SLOT (not the insert effect slot) choose AU midi controlled effects and then Runciter
5) Click and hold the "side chain"section in the top right of the window and select "Bus 1"
The effect will now be effected by midi.
So it isn't very straight forward but its how logic is designed.
