Calle,

Congratulations for this amazing piece of work and thank you dearly for making it available.

I have checked the free version out and read the manual but couldn't figure how to limit the amount of voices a program can use (other than switch between mono and poly). Is this feature available somewhere?

Thank you very much in advance.

No, there is no poly limit. I did not really see a need for it. Though I assume it might come in handy sometimes, perhaps for live sessions etc, ensuring you don't get a cpu overload. For studio work though, keeping your MIDI messages in check often does th trick fine. ;-)

If enough people request it I'll put it on the feature list.

Thank you very much. It is mostly useful -- in my opinion -- to keep CPU usage under control on slow computers (in a live situation in particular) when long release times are used.

Hey,

I gather from the change log that v. 2.20 has polyphony limit per voice :o . Thank you so much for adding this feature. I am looking forward to trying it out.

All the best!

Indeed it has, though the poly limit is actually per program slot, i.e. it is defined on the performance level. This is because a program defines "sound", a performance defines "setup".
Let me know how it works.

Thanks a lot, Calle.

Unfortunately, it does not seem to work properly from the few tests I have made so far. It seems that if the limit is set to an amount of voices that's lower than the actual number of voices currently playing, all that can be heard is a mono version of the highest note being input.

I'll follow through with an email including a Reaper project file for you to check out if you would like.

All the best.

You are right. I found the issue. Will be fixed in the next build.
Thanks for the heads up
