Musicians Friend has Maschine for $299 but it says restock. What the hell is restock?

An important question for sure. I bought a used Maschine controller with the software, from Long and McQuade Even with support from the music store making calls on my behalf as a valued customer and owner of other NI products including Komplete Ultimate 8, NI woudln't allow me to register the software as the serial had already been used. Execise caution here.

I know next to nothing about Izotope stuff, but I may need to pick up Alloy 2 + Ozone 5 to maintain parity on a project. I know they bundle these two together as a "Mix and Master" package. Do they ever go on sale? Anybody know the best current deal on them?

You need to add the products to the cart to see the final price. For most products, there's an automatic discount available.

Oh btw, does anyone know how to register plugins with PA? I got a serial from JRR shop but have no idea where to enter it! tried online activation but it doesn't give me an option.

I was thinking this would happen.. they'd inflate the price before the sale in hopes of sinking more people into buying thinking they are getting a good deal (but unknowingly not).
