What are you guys going on about?

go to Steinberg page, click on upgrade and every version has an upgrade price.

Cubase 6.5 to 7 is $159.

Cubase 4/5 upgrade is $199 or $259 something like that.

how are you getting the shaft?

download or boxed.

you dont understand that this are the regular update prices and cubase 4/5 isn't in btw., i'll try with steinberg words for this "great sale"..

Cubase 6.5 - 149.99

That seems reasonable to me.. the tiers that is.. that said, I can upgrade my Cubase AI 4 license to full 7 for 299.99 - just 50 more than you Full 5 owners!

Steinberg has often problem with their eshop - some offers dont show to everybody. It happend to me many times, that I received ther promo by email but I was not able to see offer on their website (they filter it based on your detected country). They must be losing ton of money because their missmanaged eshop.

So make sure that youre loged in, and if offer doesnt show up, send them a message.

I'm not logged in.. I am viewing the US shop however.

No upgrade from AI 4 to Elements 7.. yet they have one to both Artist 7 and the full 7. Strange.

I might not mind upgrading my AI4 to Elements 7 for 40USD (had they had an upgrade path for it) but I guess not..

what exactly you dont understand? you self write that you can upgrade your cubase AI 4 to full 7 for 299.99 "just 50 more than full 5 owners" and still think that 5,6 and 6.5 owners are in this sale? "Cubase 4/5 are on the list" LOL

thats funny somehow, this are regular prices you post here and has nothing to do with this sale, and thats what people report here.

You seem rude in that how you word your sentences seems rather condescending. Please tell me you're not really that big of a jerk.

In any case, I received no email and I've yet to see anyone showing prices otherwise.. so I figured these were the sale prices and was trying to HELP.

Normal retail price (for instance at Amazon) for Cubase Artist 7 is $231.78. However, I can upgrade my ancient Cubase AI 4 to Cubase Artist 7 for $99.99 through the Steinberg shop. I figured that was a pretty nice deal... 57% reduction in price.

If there are further discounts, please 'educate' us since you seem to be taking the high horse approach to conversing with others.
