Construct is now fully functional without restrictions during it's beta stage, so no more annoying demo tone. That means it's freeware until it reaches v1.0.

Get it here.

The pre-order is still available as well, which means you can still take advantage of the discount before it reaches v1.0.

Cool, thanks :)

Over the past month I decided to take a few steps back and re-evaluate things, and after much work, Construct has been almost completely reworked and is set to be released on August 12, 2013. Here's the latest screenshot:

Pre-ordering is still an option for a discounted price until the date of release.

I totally missed this thread, did not know you had something new in the pipeline. Given the greatness and maintenance of Phonec I just bought this one at the intro price without even testing it :D I was missing a more modern and flexible drum module, so far I was mainly using Superwave's old modules, but they are not very flexible, although I like that old-fashioned sound. This one seems really powerful, and I like the user interface, looks almost like real hardware :)

Happy to have you on board :) I'm actually having to delay the release date a bit, but it should be ready later tonight. Still doing some last minuite tweaking on the presets. I think its sounding fantastic. Oh, and I made an effort to increase the size of the fonts this time, so it should be a little easier to read

Take as much time as it takes, no need to rush things :) Most people prefer solid and mature plugins. There is no point in hurrying now just to meet some release date you set yourself. It is more important that you are so happy with version 1.0 that you know you will not have to add or change stuff later on that makes patches incompatible from one version to another. I have seen that happen with another synth I have, it really sucked recreating all my patches manually, parameter by parameter :P

Cool, lots of modern, tweakable sounds, finally an affordable quality drum module :)

I was wondering, though, if the interruption of the a# HH key by f# or g# is implemented the usual way. I think f# and g# should cut off a# when keeping that key pressed, at least that is the way it has been implemented with my other modules.

OK, just noticed that in many cases it is not HH anyway, so I guess it is ok that way :)

Two additional normal acoustic drum and percussion kits would have been nice for going old-skool :) I mean, there are samples involves, right? Some of those sounds sound too good for a synth.

I do plan to implement choke groups in the next update, but for now the best way to achieve this would be using the 'gate' switch in the 'master controls' section. It causes notes to play for only the time a note is held rather than full triggering. Good for open hats.

I will be making many more presets as I make updates, so I'll make a few acoustic kits for next time.
