I noticed a minor issue.Aether doesn't refresh the Freq display correctly under some specific situations.
Type A:
1.Insert and open Aether. 2.Load a preset,"301 Studio A" (Factory > 01 Classics). 3.Set the LR Gain to -INF. 4.Bypass the LR engine. 5.Turn on the LR endine. 6.Turn up the LR Gain to 0.0
Then Aether doesn't show the LR Decay curve. Once this occurred If you change any LR Decay curve parameters,Aether doesn't show the curve.
Workaround: Bypass the LR engine.Turn on the LR engine.
Type B:
1.Insert and open Aether. 2.Load a preset,"301 Studio A" (Factory > 01 Classics). 3.Set the LR Gain to -INF. 4.Save preset to My presets as "301 Studio A ER only" 5.Load a preset,"Big Time Studio" (Factory > 03 Musical).
6.Load a preset,"301 Studio A ER only" again.
Then Aether show the LR Decay curve of the previously loaded preset, not the current preset's curve.
Workaround: Turn up the LR gain.Turn down the LR gain.
Type C:
1.Insert and open Aether. 2.Load a preset,"301 Studio A" (Factory > 01 Classics). 3.Set the ER Gain to -INF. 4.Change the ER HF Soft value. 5.Turn up the ER Gain.
Then Aether doesn't show the curve until you change the ER HF Soft value.
Type D:
1.Insert and open Aether. 2.Load a preset,"301 Studio A" (Factory > 01 Classics). 3.Set the LR Gain to -INF. 4.Change the LR HF Soft value. 5.Turn up the LR Gain.
Then Aether doesn't show the curve until you change the LR HF Soft value.
I know if I change these frequency-related parameters, nothing's going to change the sound, as long as LR or ER engine is disabled.I often use the ER engine only.I prefer to turn down the LR Gain all the way rather than use bypass button. And I sometimes bypass the ER/LR engine or set the ER/LR Gain to -INF temporarily, while I tweak values to get desired sound.
Edit: Maybe, you would say "use the bypass button instead of setting the LR Gain to -INF".But I prefer to set it to -INF.because in this way,I can add Late Reflection smoothly.
P.S. The preset changing crash issue was fixed on my system.Thanks,Andrew.

Just fyi, the fixed version 1.6 is out since quite a while now, so far all reports were positive, so it seems the reverb is bugfree now.

But that's just the thing... I have several options to choose from in my tool set. Not really interested in being a beta tester at the moment, too many things going on. And as people were mentioning in the iLok thread... Never ever never mess with things in the middle of a project!

Is there a new Silk Degrees preset?Sampleconstruct wrote:LOL fellow devs hijacking the Aether thread.
I'm amazed how different approaches to the same basic types of verb can create a special magic on particular instrument, sound or mix. I also dig the unique vibe different interfaces have, which affects creativity as well as sound. Keep them coming!
Finally, I sincerely appreciate the KVR direct access and insights from the devs. You guys are mad sonic scientists!
Current fascination: Ambiences.
