Still hoping for a 64bit AU, it's my last 32bit plugin I got hanging around in Logic.

am in the exact same boat (a boat that could conceivably drown if LX ever happens...and doesn't support 32bit plugs). but at least workable in the present...AstroCat wrote:Still hoping for a 64bit AU, it's my last 32bit plugin I got hanging around in Logic.

So it happened - LX is out.. No 32bit bridge. I live by Sylenth - it really is a great synth. We can only hope that the dev does something soon! Going to test jBridge to 64bit VST Sylenth with LX tonight, will report back results.
Wish you could just port AUs to 64bit without a bridge!

Technically nothing wrong in actually trying to do this, but you'd need an app to read and mess with (/create new) the binaries and swap all the 32bitness with 64bitness.. Ish.. But with a bunch of interdependencies in the binaries and the choices the devs make during development when they design for a specific platform this is a seriously daunting task and would require so much luck noone would win even the tinyest lottery on this planet for thousands of years afterwards..thisisgemini wrote: Wish you could just port AUs to 64bit without a bridge!

Hopefully the new logic update, forces Lennar to go with 64bit

This really sucks
I know I can stick with current Logic but I really want to go ahead and buy the new version but Sylenth is probably my favourite synth.
I don't understand why Lennar had given it such little love, it's one of the greatest soft synths ever mate.

you really think there is ANY chance of that?
Oh yes, I think there is. I just got this reply from Lennard:
"Hi,
We are working on a 64bit version of Sylenth1.
Best regards,
Lennard"

Forgive me for asking, but are you pulling our leg? hehe He doesn't tend to ever respond to questions about an AU 64-bit version. I emailed him ages ago about it and was ignored.grandgazou wrote:TheoM wrote:Wasteland1 wrote:Hopefully the new logic update, forces Lennar to go with 64bit

Actually looks a legit reply. Every email I've had with Lennard he opens and signs the exact same way ...grandgazou wrote:TheoM wrote:Wasteland1 wrote:Hopefully the new logic update, forces Lennar to go with 64bit
