In the meantime, you can grab a previous version here:
https://s3.amazonaws.com/uvi/UVI+Workst ... 2-0-11.exe

Sorry about this inconvenience.
Should I was able to run the 32bit version of v2.1.2 in Windows 7 64bit?
Well... I will reinstall the previous version in temporary.

Thanks,

I also installed the latest version, and it doesn't launch as a standalone in Windows XP. And as a plug-in, it crashes when launched. Had to go back to version 2.0.3

Windows XP wasn't supported but it used to work until v2.0.11.
It doesn't work anymore at all now. (move to Visual C++ 2012)

Yes it should work.

Will try to figure what's happening in your case.

Just wondering, can you try to install this ?

Thanks,
I installed both the 32bit and 64bit of VCC+ 2012. But, I still could not start.
Also, I've found that this error occurs always I try to install v2.1.2 (32bit).

It seems like that the iLok 64bit driver was not enough to run v2.1.2 (32bit) in Windows7 64 bit.

We had other reports like yours and it only happens with 32bits version on 64bits system.
We have some hints on what's happening so hopefully this will be fixed by the end of the week.
In the meantime, 64bits version should work or a previous version that you can grab from the Amazon S3 link I gave you.

Thanks for your patience.

@makk, could you please grab version 2.1.4 now available on the website, it should fix your issue.

@fmr version 2.1.4 should work again on Windows XP. This is still unofficially supported though.

Please let us know if you any other trouble.

Thanks,
I can confirm that version 2.1.4 is working in Windows XP. Thanks

Just downloaded latest Windows installers. I can't make heads or tails of what kind of files they are! Tried to unzip, open archives or just run--using 7-zip and nothing seemed to work.

They are exe files.
Are you sure you don't have a corrupted download ?

Do you use Internet Explore ? Which version ?

Yeah, must have been corrupted download files. Downloaded latest installers today and they seem to be fine. I suspect something funny happened to my internet connection yesterday since I got the "ghost" looking files on two separate computers.

By the way, even though I have 2.4.1 now running well in my 32 and 64 bit versions of Studio One, I did want to mention one thing about the "PACE 32 bit issue"...even on 2.4.1. I downloaded and installed the 64 bit version first, on my Windows 7 64 bit system, and verified that it was working. I then downloaded and installed the 32 bit version of S1 on the same computer, but during installation the window did pop up saying that PACE 32 could only be installed on 32 bit windows. I clicked on OK, and the installation completed in summary fashion. Again, both are now working.

Yep, we know about this one.

Thing is that we bundle 32 bits PACE stuff with the 32 bits installer which kinda make sense. Except that you need to install 64 bits PACE stuff if your windows is 64 bits. So there is a mismatch in case of a 32 bits installer on 64 bits system.
I was not a huge fan of bundling 32 AND 64 bits PACE stuff in the 32 bits installer leading to an increased size of the installer.
Most people with 64 bits system will install the 64 bits version anyway as most DAW now features 64 bits version. Even Protools :)

Hope this clarify things.

I've got a better idea. Why not just bye-bye ilock, especially after their latest debacle?
