Why can NI split their age old library from the Kontakt instrument, and sell that 40GB lump of lard separately, and then allow for users of third party libraries to buy Kontakt as a regular plugin, that can be downloaded?

I know they usually have a full sale then an upgrade sale to follow - but could find no upgrade option at all.

I emailed The Sound Guy to ensure the deal is legit. So far, their website has no mention of the 64 bit version.

That is a very good question.

They slowly stopped restocking items on their site.. until they had no items.

The 64bit version has been out a good while. Since May I believe.

What concerned me more was:

(a) The AudioMidi email out of the blue.
(b) ''Thank you for your purchase of the SFX Machine Pro "No Brainer Deal" last summer.'' I purchased SFX Machine Pro years ago directly from The Sound Guy, Inc. I never purchased it from AudioMidi ... ever!
