Excuse my ignorance. Is it yourself that we'd need to PM? I tried the DEMO Pack and liked it. I may be interested later in the week. Cheers.

I have put it on Sampleism.com for better marketing

Here I want to give it for a better lower price away because I have less fees to pay

Same, hella weird.

EDIT: Not entirely sure it's even worth $10 though, just had a quick look at a video demo (from 2010!) and it seems and apart from the x64 update, nothing else has really changed in 3 years. Vintage VST effect?

Anyone have an opinion on the sound quality of this... mind, guess I should probably try the demo? Brilliant to see the dev is still around however, and still updating it (which does give me confidence that it might be good).

PS: Yes, I am that frugal these days... I have too much software that I bought for a no-brainer deal and never use (audioMIDI edition Breverb comes to mind etc etc).

I picked this up and it seems to be really useful for interesting, non-standard effects. There are a lot of presets, but not all are really useful (imo), nonetheless they serve as great examples of how presets are created.

Has anyone tried the G-Sonique Vintage Guitar Boutique?

Seems there's an intro price of 14.94Euros.

I downloaded the demo but it doesn't have the tube scream in it, which is one of the pedals I was really interested in

Ok, so I asked Native Instruments if they would ever consider selling Kontakt without the sample library in hopes to have a reduced price in the software. This was their response:

Thank you for contacting Native Instruments!

KONTAKT 5 always includes the free library, it's not available without.

So essentially, their sampler costs $400 (now on sale for $200) and you get the free library!

Seems a bit expensive to me.. or is it just me?

it IS expensive. I don't want to fill up my hard drive with a bunch of samples that I may or may not have any use for. I agree it would be great if they would put out an inexpensive version without the "free" samples. third party sample developers putting out a sample library that can't use the kontakt player limit thier potential customer base only to the full kontakt owners. even at $200, I will never be one.

Well said. Yeah, it really is a shame that 3rd party developers have to take the hit on that. I too will never buy a software sampler for that kind of price. My money could be much better spent on almost anything else. I just can't justify the cost for the value..

There are plenty of cheaper alternatives to Kontakt. SFZ Sample Player is free, and there are a bunch of Kontakt libraries also available in SFZ format.
